Multidisciplinary design studio at the intersection of human thinking and technology
And that's what I realized....
I've been a designer for six years now. During this time, I managed to work with branding, websites, applications, 3D, AR, interfaces, development and all that strange set of tasks that usually appears in a person when he works in an independent studio for too long and gradually ceases to understand where one profession ends and another begins.
Copilot was one of the first to take off the mask of a philanthropist
GitHub announced that as of June 1, 2026, Copilot will switch to usage-based billing. Formally, prices do not change: Pro still costs $10, Pro+ - $39, Business - $19 per user, Enterprise - $39. But now it’s no longer just a subscription to a “smart assistant”. This is the balance with loans. How many tokens you burned - that’s how much you paid
On outdated approaches...
The market for digital solutions has changed significantly in recent years. If previously a basic website with several pages, a feedback form and simple content management was enough for a business, today the requirements have increased significantly.
Russian design without the outside world: degradation or chance
Isolation does not kill the profession instantly. First, it narrows the market, raises the cost of error, and quietly lowers the bar. In such an environment, weak processes, empty studios and work that was supported only by inertia are most quickly destroyed. The question is whether this will end in simplification or new professional rigidity.
Visual web design trends for 2025
The web is no longer flat. If previously the designer’s goal was to create something “clean and neat,” now it is to create depth, materiality and emotion. The year 2025 has finally formalized the transition from static interfaces to living visual systems, where light and shadow work no worse than text.
When AI tries to become a designer
For two years now I have been regularly conducting the same experiment: I ask a neural network to make a page about itself. No restrictions. Complete freedom. Here you have all the tools - HTML, CSS, components, animations, styles, everything your heart desires. The task is simple: “Make it beautiful, epic, professional.”
This news is special
Not because it has big words - but because it was the first to be published through our own PCMS system. Not through code, not through an external service, but through our custom editor, which we built from scratch. Today we literally wrote news about the future - inside the future.
I disclaim any responsibility as a contractor. And not because I’m tired of work.
This is a personal catharsis - an attempt to understand who I remain when you remove the routine and leave only the question “why?” The studio now works in two directions: its own projects without briefs and client projects only through deep immersion.
We need a reassessment of the profession, the market and the role of the designer in Russia
The design profession in Russia is working at a disadvantage. Minus to dignity. Minus influence. Minus respect. The system we all find ourselves in is not just an outdated mechanism, it is a trap. It's time to get your tools back.
You don't need a website on Tilda until you read this text
Right now you are reading a site that was assembled by hand, from scratch, without Tilda, without templates, without Zero Block. Yes, it wasn't done overnight. In some places - months of work, refactoring, trying to understand how it should work. But it works. It's possible. And most importantly, it gives us control, speed and freedom, which one can only dream of on Tilda.
Liquid Glass burst into design - and then disappeared.
At first it seemed like just another feature for the sake of a feature. Then - something truly new. And now Apple has already “fixed” the effect, making it more boring. Let's figure out where Liquid Glass came from, why it hooked everyone, and how marketers ruined everything again.
One universal pass instead of a bunch of cards. My journey from childhood metaphors to a real product is about how design can simplify life.
Since childhood, I have observed the world a little differently. Advertising on TV, reflections in a puddle, the cut of light on the plastic packaging - all this aroused not just interest in me, but images. Every thing, every object carried a metaphor, a code, an association. I realized early on that there is more to the visual world than just form. And I wanted to understand and show this “more” to everyone.
Graphic design is changing along with technology and culture.
In 2025, we see a fusion of aesthetics, meaning and technology, creating a rich landscape of trends. Below we will look at key areas - from visual styles to conceptual approaches - based on real examples, agency cases and changes in tools and thinking of designers.
How I became a developer without knowing how to code
I’ll tell you right away that there won’t be any miracles: the foundation of this site—the server, the database, the stack—was assembled by a professional developer. I just hang components on top using GPT: front-end, micro-features, design.
Sometimes you realize: there is not a single space where you can be yourself.
We wanted to create a place where everyone can feel free to share ideas and not be afraid to be authentic. This is not just a site - it is a space for people who care about being themselves.
Finally it happened - we launched the official website of Nikita Olenev's studio!
Now all our projects, services and offers are collected in one place, where it is convenient to search for information, be inspired by work and immediately contact us.
To grow and not remain in the shadows, it is important not just to walk, but to run forward.
I spent a long time looking for where I was comfortable. Behance is a dead showcase, where the design of the case is more important than the work itself. Instagram is a show for the sake of likes. VK is a cemetery of ideas. Everything works according to someone else’s rules, and no one asks: are you okay?
